Head Nurse

Elisa qualified as a Veterinary Nurse with a BSc (HONS) degree in Veterinary Nursing Science in the summer of 2005. She has been working within the veterinary profession for the past eight years. Working as part of Wear Referrals is a rewarding job for Elisa. Her role includes caring for and providing treatment for inpatients during their stay with us, preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anaesthetics and she is in charge of the post-operative care of patients undergoing soft tissue, orthopaedic and spinal surgery. Part of her role involves rehabilitation of patients after orthopaedic and spinal surgery. Her job is very demanding and involves a lot of hard work, commitment and sometimes long hours as our patients require a great deal of nursing care. Elisa’s is currently studying towards a Diploma in Advanced Surgical Veterinary Nursing and will be sitting the final exams in 2010. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding and socialising.
