Due to ongoing growth and increasing caseload, we are currently looking for additional Veterinary Interns to join our 12-month fixed term Rotating Internship programme.

The ideal candidate should be dedicated, hard-working, committed to continuous improvement and hold a veterinary degree registerable with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.  Applicants should have a minimum of 12 months post graduate experience in a small animal practice, or have completed a previous internship, although consideration will also be given to exceptional recent graduates.

The internship will include rotations in neurology, orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, anaesthesia, internal medicine and cardiology. Time will also be spent in diagnostic imaging, emergency & critical care and within the out of hours service. Second year specialist internships may be available at the end of this fixed term contract and we also offer residencies in selected disciplines.

Involvement in clinical research, CPD and externships is actively encouraged, supported by a generous CPD budget and paid leave package.  This is complimented by Journal Clubs, in-house specialist lectures, seminars and small group teaching.  We offer our interns the opportunity to assist our veterinary surgeons and specialists, not just to observe from the sidelines.

The salary package includes a generous employer's pension contribution, a private health and discounted purchasing scheme, staff discount, payment of professional registration fees and professional indemnity insurance.  Subsidised accommodation and transport is also available for successful candidates.

Closing Date: 4pm on 18th August
