With ongoing growth and success based on an outstanding reputation and a commitment to clinical excellence, Wear Referrals, part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, are looking to recruit a board-certified or board-eligible oncologist to work with a growing team of clinicians, surgeons and other specialists.

Wear Referrals is a multi-disciplinary, specialist veterinary referral hospital in the North East of England, close to the historic university city of Durham, the thriving city of Newcastle and set between the north east coast and the Pennines. We have services in neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, diagnostic imaging and cardiology, as well as an out-of- hours emergency service and in-house physiotherapy and hydrotherapy teams.

Our hospital facilities include a dedicated ICU staffed 24 hours a day, spacious well-designed wards with many walk-in kennels, in-house 1.5T Siemens Magnetom Essenza MRI, 16 slice Siemens Somatom Emotion helical CT, digital radiography, digital fluoroscopy,a Samsung RS85 ultrasound system and Arthrex / Karl Storz laparoscopic and arthroscopic imaging systems.

The successful applicant will join an established and growing team of diplomates and residency-trained clinicians and surgeons, with support from a large discipline-specific surgical nursing team.

We encourage an evidence-based multi-disciplinary approach, supporting a process of continuous learning and a collegiate atmosphere.  We have an active internship programme and are expanding our residency programmes.  Our extensive clinical caseload  provides an interesting variety of cases and supports ongoing clinical research that is actively encouraged and supported.
