Josep graduated from University CEU Cardinal Herrera in Valencia. Shortly after, he completed a one-year rotating internship at a referral hospital in Barcelona, followed by a neurology internship at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket.

In 2015, Josep joined the small animal hospital of the University of Glasgow as a resident in neurology and neurosurgery where he also completed a master’s degree on vertebral malformations in dogs. He was awarded the diploma of the European College of Veterinary Neurology in 2018 before joining Wear Referrals. He is a reviewer for scientific journals and has presented in national and international veterinary congresses. 

Josep has a special interest on reflex epilepsies, congenital malformations and intracranial and spinal tumours.
