Lynne Burdis

Lynne Burdis

Lynne has gained in-depth experience and knowledge in the field of small animal hydrotherapy, having worked in canine rehabilitation for more than a decade. She qualified as a small animal hydrotherapist in 2006, initially gaining her small animal hydrotherapy diploma (DipSA Hydro).

In 2016, Lynne successfully gained her advanced diploma in small animal hydrotherapy, passed with distinction. This is the highest qualification available for a small animal hydrotherapist and Lynne is only one of six people in the UK with the qualification – and the only one working in a veterinary referral hospital.

Lynne ran her own small animal rehabilitation centre for 10 years before joining Wear Referrals to establish our hydrotherapy rehabilitation suite. She has a special interest in canine bio-mechanics; small animal orthopaedics; small animal neurological/spinal rehabilitation and utilising the benefits of hydrotherapy and rehabilitation processes to help manage pain relief.

Having owned and worked dogs all of her life, and German Shepherds for the last 30 years, Lynne has first-hand experience of canine behaviour and skeletal disorders.

Lynne joined Wear Referrals in October 2014, working alongside experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses and therapists and sharing her skills in the rehabilitation of neurological and orthopaedic cases.
