Maciej graduated from University of Life Sciences, Warsaw and, after moving to England, worked in numerous primary care practices around the country. In 2013, he became head of the surgical department at Holly House Veterinary Hospital in Leeds and worked as a referral surgeon at West Midlands Referrals before moving to Wear Referrals in 2018.

Maciej gained his BSAVA certificate in small animal surgery in 2018 and has a particular interest in arthroscopy and joint replacement. In his spare time, he spends time with his young family and is a keen angler.
