Juliet has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of physiotherapy. She qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1984, gaining her physiotherapy diploma from Manchester Royal Infirmary School of Physiotherapy.
Following a period working in the NHS, she continued her career working in private practice and occupational health. Juliet continues to treat people, where her special interest is the management of musculoskeletal disorders. Patients are given a full understanding of their condition and a treatment package, including an individual rehabilitation programme relevant to their work and/or sport.
In 2010 the family farming business relocated to the North East and this provided Juliet an opportunity to pursue an aspect of physiotherapy she has always been interested in - veterinary physiotherapy. This involved two years of intensive studying at the University of Liverpool and placements with experienced veterinary physiotherapists.
In May 2015, Juliet passed her exams to gain a postgraduate diploma in veterinary physiotherapy and upgrade to Category A with ACPAT. Juliet is now enjoying combining her physiotherapy skills with her passion for animals.
In October 2015, Juliet joined the rehabilitation team at Wear Referrals. Working alongside experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses and therapists has allowed her to develop her skills in the rehabilitation of neurological and orthopaedic cases.
