Following an induction period, our interns rotate through the various core and elective disciplines that can include:
- Internal medicine
- Soft tissue surgery
- Orthopaedics
- Anaesthesia
- Emergency and critical care
- Neurology
- Oncology
- Cardiology
- Diagnostic imaging
A discipline-specific internship is a one-year training post in a particular specialism. It’s a chance to significantly develop clinically and professionally by working closely with and learning from specialists and residents in your chosen field. It is usually a bridge between rotating internships and residency posts but is not an essential step in speciality training.
