We know how worrying it can be when your pet is poorly or injured, which is why Wear Referrals provides an emergency and critical care service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to pets and their owners in the North East. Our out-of-hours service provides emergency care for primary care practice clients when their own practice is closed.
The service is staffed by our dedicated night team of veterinary surgeons and nurses, who only work during the night, so they are fresh and ready to help you and your pets. Daytime emergencies are covered by our referral nurses and intern vets.
Many of our night team have studied, or are studying towards, further qualifications in emergency and critical care, so your pets will be in the best hands.

We are available throughout the night, even if it is only for advice, to put both you and your pet at ease during this worrying time.
Many of the local daytime practices are signed up to our out-of-hours service and if we see your pet during this time, or you phone us for advice, we will send a full report to your own vets in the morning.

If your pet needs to be seen, we will give you directions and an indication of the relevant consultation fees. Please bring any pet insurance documentation you have with you in case we need to check it.
