Included in Our Orthopaedics Fixed Price Packages
All of our orthopaedics fixed price packages include the following:
- consultation
- pre-operative radiographs as needed
- general anaesthetic
- surgery (including all necessary implants, medications and bandaging)
- up to 3 days’ hospitalisation as required
- routine post-op analgesia (NSAIDs or paracetamol) for up to 2 weeks.

**12-month Surgical Guarantee for TPLO and Fracture Repair
What’s covered?
- daytime consultation and assessment of any complication related to the procedure
- all additional diagnostics / investigations of problems directly related to the procedure (e.g. x-rays and joint taps)
- any revision surgery including implants, anaesthesia and hospitalisation (including medication and bandaging while hospitalised)
- any internal lab tests required (e.g. blood tests)
- discharge medications for up to 2 weeks.
What’s not covered?
- additional dispensed (take-home) medications (e.g. additional painkillers or antibiotics)
- external lab fees for any samples that need to be sent away (e.g. bacterial cultures or pathology samples)
- complications not directly related to the procedure (e.g. post-procedural vomiting, diarrhoea, medical problems associated with the anaesthetic, or infections in patients with a history of skin or ear disease)
- complications in recovery post-procedure arising from a pre-existing health condition (e.g. diabetes or hypothyroidism)
- costs from investigations incurred by a primary care vet
- ongoing lameness not related to a specific complication (e.g. ongoing osteoarthritis).
What do we expect?
- post-operative instructions are followed strictly to minimise the risk of complications***
- all problems to be reported to us within a 7-day period of their onset
- the guarantee lasts for 12 months from the date of the original surgery.
***We reserve the right to remove this guarantee if we do not deem post-operative instructions have been followed with due care and attention.

Terms and Conditions
Our fixed price packages assume no other injuries that may require additional treatment, stabilisation or investigation (e.g. soft tissue wounds, chest or abdominal injury).
Although major post-operative complications are unusual, any costs incurred relating to unexpected post-operative complications are not included in our fixed price packages.
Post-surgery instructions must have been followed appropriately.
