Megan Walsh

Head of Service - Emergency and OOH

Megan graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine & Science at Nottingham University in 2015. After graduating, Megan relocated to the Northeast of England where she worked in general practice for a short period of time. Megan then completed a rotating internship at Wear Referrals Veterinary Hospital where she then progressed to Veterinary Surgeon within the Emergency and OOH Service.

In 2022 Megan then went onto work as a locum vet across many practices in the region before returning to Wear Referrals in 2023 as Head of the OOH Service.

Outside of work, Megan spends most of her time outdoors. She loves trail running, rock climbing and training and competing in triathlons up to ironman distance. Megan takes regular trips to the Lake District and back to her home in Snowdonia, North Wales to visit her family. Megan has a setter cross called Loki who loves to join her adventures in the camper van.
