Hannah graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2010, and after a few years in primary care practice decided to specialise in anaesthesia and pain management. This consisted of an anaesthesia internship at the University of Liverpool, followed by a 3 year anaesthesia residency programme at the University of Edinburgh.

Following her residency, she was appointed as anaesthesia lecturer at Edinburgh in 2018 and passed her ECVAA specialist exams in 2021 becoming a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and analgesia. 

Hannah joined Wear referrals in June 2022, and has a particular interest in the use of local anaesthetic techniques to optimise pain management.
