Zack Smith-Uchotski

Intern - Surgical

Zack graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2013 with a degree in Bioveterinary Sciences prior to training as a veterinarian at the University of Bristol between 2015 and 2020. He spent three years working between Suffolk, Hampshire and Somerset before completing a rotating small animal internship at the Royal Veterinary College in 2025.

Joining the team at Wear Referrals in Summer 2025, Zack aspires to learn all areas of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery possible and get involved with veterinary clinical research while undertaking his internship in small animal surgery.

Outside of work, Zack enjoys listening to and playing music and owns a variety of musical instruments including a violin, saxophone and Caribbean steelpan (commonly known as a steel drum). He also enjoys visiting his family in Reading and playing with their cats, Tinker and Stinky Winky, and their dog, Bingle.
