Freya Townsend

Resident - Neurology

Freya graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2021 having completed a Master’s degree in Advanced Biological Sciences in addition to her Bachelors of Veterinary Science.

Freya then began her career working in a busy small animal hospital in the North East before completing a rotating internship at Wear Referrals, where she discovered her love for Neurology.

Freya spent four months at Northwest Veterinary Specialists before returning to Wear to undertake a residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery.

In her free time, Freya enjoys running, travelling, scuba diving and eating good food with her family and friends. Freya also has a cat named Cabbage, who she adopted as a rescue from Wear Referrals.
