Matt graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2017 and spent 2 years working in a busy first-opinion small animal practice in Wiltshire, during which time he developed a passion for neurology. Matt then undertook a residency in neurology and neurosurgery at Dovecote Veterinary Hospital, achieving the position of RCVS and EBVS European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology in 2024, before joining Wear Referrals.

Matt enjoys the variety of medical and surgical cases encountered in veterinary neurology. He has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and movement disorders, topics in which he has published scientific papers.

In his spare time Matt enjoys wildlife and landscape photography, sport, and personal fitness. He is excited to be moving back to the North East with his family.
