Beth Achieves Nursing Anaesthesia Certificate

Beth Hocking, a nurse here at Wear Referrals has passed her Nursing Anaesthesia Certificate!

Further training is important for us to constantly improve our day-to-day practice, patient care and career development of our teams. Beth has worked diligently during her studies with many weekends spent at CPD events taught by leading Anaesthesia Specialists, produced a valuable clinical audit, and studied hard in the run-up to her exams. We are very proud of her!

Beth said:

”Since qualifying as an RVN in 2016, I have always had a passion for anaesthesia. Working at Wear Referrals allowed me to sharpen my skills, but I felt I wanted to study towards a qualification that would test and expand my knowledge.

I started the Improve International Nurses Certificate in Anaesthesia course in January 2020, regularly travelling to Swindon to attend the lectures, however, the COVID-19 pandemic meant that the last two modules were taught remotely. The course provided both knew knowledge, and refreshed some of the basic practices which were great!

To pass, I had to conduct a clinical audit for the hospital and sit two exams. I’m very proud to say that I passed all criteria needed and am now a certificate holder!”
