We’re bringing you a hands-on, fast-paced CPD day dedicated to an approach to an emergency patient from various perspectives, where you will be able to meet with our amazing teams here at Wear Referrals.

Sessions will revolve around various emergency situations you encounter daily at your practice.

This full-day event is designed to be not only useful and engaging, but even fun. The day will run in small-groups wit interactive, practical sessions. Where you’ll work through the multidisciplinary management of emergency cases, with input from our teams in:

  • Anaesthesia
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Internal medicine
  • Oncology
  • Soft tissue surgery

Together, we’ll work through real-life scenarios taking a case-based approach – learning not just the theory, but also the ‘how’, to make smart, time-efficient decisions under pressure.

What you can expect:

  • Film reading for emergency cases
  • Transfusion medicine & coagulation problems
  • Practical session on tracheotomy tube placement
  • Acute oncology covering initial stabilisation of critically ill patients with cancer
  • Anaesthesia will be discussing various topics and assessing the stress & decision making surrounding the following presentations septic peritonitis- managing blood pressure & urinary obstruction – window of opportunity for GA
  • A collaborative environment where questions and discussion are encouraged.
  • Lunch and refreshments provided throughout the day (of course!). We will contact you re: any dietary requirements before the event.
